The ancient village of Senneh, which has been called Sanandadj since the 1930s, is the centre of the western Persian province of Kurdistan. Antique Senneh kilims are typically finely woven, the wool spun by hand and dyed with natural dyes. The patterns of the kilims were finely and tastefully executed.
